I was raised in a small town with my family; we didn't have much in terms of material wealth, but we had what mattered most: faith, family, friends, and a community that always showed up for one another. My father was a Lutheran pastor who taught me the importance of serving the people of the community.
Service wasn't a slogan — it was a way of life. Saturdays often meant loading into the truck with my brothers to help families in need, whether it was moving furniture or fixing something broken. By eleven, I took on a paper route and learned the value of saving. That early experience sparked a lifelong fascination with how money, when handled with integrity and purpose, could create choices and stability for families.

I eventually found my way into the financial services industry, drawn to the idea of helping people build secure, confident futures. But I noticed something right away; too much of the industry was built around selling products, not serving people. That did not align with my values. I wanted to walk alongside clients — to be a true partner in their journey.
That belief led to the founding of Heritage Wealth Management. From day one, our mission has been to offer honest, value-driven guidance and build lasting relationships. We stand shoulder to shoulder with families, teaching the "why" behind each decision and helping carry those decisions into the next generation.
